The Ricoh Arena in Coventry again hosted this year’s two-day show. It also incorporates the Engineering Materials and Electronics Design Show. Event has over 200 exhibitors and runs 30_ keynote conference sessions plus 40+ practical workshops.
For Kavia’s Iain Hill it is an opportunity to attend some keynote sessions for industry insight, meet with suppliers, research new materials and technologies and generate some leads for the business.
Iain attended three sessions listed below and they will be reported independently. The reason for picking this sessions were we have just started a Raspberry Pi related project and it is always good to gain insight into industry design principals and methods of large organisations such as Dyson.
- Raspberry Pi – from Consumer to Creator. Pete Lomas, Raspberry Pi Foundation
- The five principles of product development. Simon Smith, Associate Director – Products & Systems, Cambridge Consultants
- The Dyson Way, Dr Caroline Simcock, Global Compliance and Approvals Manager, Dyson
It was the electronics exhibitor section that yielded some strong leads, Kavia has extensive experience in supplying electronic plastic enclosures so all-in-all a worthwhile visit.
